In traditional application of optic closure is providing a safe house for the optic fiber splice and management as the requirement in outside plant, however, as the FTTx and PON become the mainstream of optic fiber infrastructure, the optic closure needs to add new function on its configuration and provide more flexible features for the market.
The model LPSC-251 is one of the cases which keep the traditional configuration of optic fiber protection and splice, the structure of splice mechanism is including SC/SE tray system to provide the single circuit (2F/4F) or single element (up to 12F) for optic fiber splicing and management, the capacity of optic fiber splice is up to 432 cores (max) which covers most of the requirements of optic fiber network, the splice tray is also capable for various PLC splitter installation to extend the function of optic closure from existing optic fiber connection toward to point-to-multi-points service, and meanwhile this model of optic closure can choose adaptor plate on back of splice tray system provides the function of drop cable terminal, in this case the splice capacity is 216F..
There are 6 pcs of round ports on the bottom of base for optic fiber cable branch or distribution, and one oval port for uncut cable inlet, air valve for tightness test and GND for ground is optioned per request, this optic closure is IP68 rating and suitable for both U/G and aboveground environment.
