Optic Terminal Closure

To aim the demand of upgrading optic fiber network and optimize the optic closure, the optic terminal closure is the solution for new generation fiber optic infrastructure, the speciality of design of the optic terminal closure is to equipped the waterproof optic adaptor on the optic closure, which effects the quick maintenance and connection and reduce the risk of fiber damage during the process of maintenance.

The optic closure model LPTC-03 is the type of optic terminal closure, which is designed with 2 pieces of optic cable ports for up 12mm diameter of optic fiber cable to be inlet, and for the drop cable outlet this optical terminal closure is equipped with 8 pieces of waterproof SC simplex adaptor for connection with SC type drop cable.

For the optic fiber cable management, this optic terminal closure supports to max 48 core optic fiber splice and capable to install 1pc of 1x4 or 1x8 optic PLC splitter, the design of internal fiber management meets the requirement of fiber bending radius and all of the optic fibers are protected properly.

This closure is made by choosing excellent quality of plastic material and is capable of protection from environmental factors, such as UV resistance, impact and temperature, meanwhile this optic closure is IP 65 rating which is suitable for aboveground and aerial application

1. Prepare uncut cables, open closure and release optical cable fastener and loop cable plug with screwdriver.

2. Cover the uncut cable with loop cable plug. Install cable, fasten CSM on CSM fastener, optical cable on cable fastener and loop cable plug. Coil remaining fiber into bottom of box, inlet cable into buffering tube & fasten with nylon cable tie. Glide fiber into splice tray.
Caution: If cable diameter smaller than 12mm, use sealing tape to enlarge its diameter.

3. Install 1x8 splitter onto splitter holder. Splice the input fiber of splitter with optical fiber and output connecters on adaptors. Coil the remaining fibers into splice tray.

4. Connect pigtail with connecters.

Closure Sealing Check-up

① Ensure the fibers in the Splice Tray are spliced and installed orderly. The bending radius of fiber meets with the technical requirements.
② The internal fixing devices are tightened.
③ Control the amount of sealing tape within a proper range.
④ Sealing fitting is installed neatly and smoothly. If not, level it up with sealing tape.
