However, in this process, some error packets cannot be detected in the CRC error detection and length check. Such packets will not be sent out during the forwarding process, nor will they be discarded. They will be accumulated in the dynamic buffer (buffer), it can never be sent out, and when the buffer is full, it will cause the switch to crash. Because at this time, restarting the transceiver or restarting the switch can restore the communication to normal, so users usually think that it is a problem with the transceiver.
2. In addition, the internal chip of the optical fiber transceiver may also crash under special circumstances, which is generally related to the design. If it crashes, re-power the device.
3. Heat dissipation problem of optical fiber transceiver. Generally, fiber optic transceivers have been used for a long time; they are aging. The heating of the whole device will become bigger and bigger. If the temperature is too high, it will crash. Solution; replace the fiber optic transceiver. Or use the environment to add some heat dissipation measures. The heat dissipation measures are similar to the computer heat dissipation, so I won’t explain them one by one here.
4. The power supply of the optical fiber transceiver. Some poor-quality power supplies will become unstable after being used for a long time. To judge this, you can touch the power supply with your hands to see if it is very hot. If the power supply must be replaced immediately, the power supply is low in cost and has no maintenance value.
