The inline optic closure is widely used in fiber optic networks as a device to provide a safe place for fiber optic optic splice and optical cable management, which is also called horizontal optic closure as the direction of optic fiber cable come-in and go-out, the seal mechanism of inline optic closure has 2 main methods, the traditional screw tight up method which is reliable and long lasting performance of waterproof and new buckle clamp method to simplify the process of installation.

For most cases, the inline optic closure is an idea solution for aerial deployment as the straight line design of inlet / outlet cable ports is same direction with optic fiber cables, which effect an perfect match between optical fiber cable and inline optic closure in aerial environment, such design is suitable to wall mounting environment.

 

The inline optic closure model LPSC-F05 is new version of design for FTTx application, this optic closure is composited by optical fiber cable spice and drop cable management, the horizontal two side of this optic closure has 1 cable port on each side and allows 1 piece of optic fiber cable up to 16mm in diameter to be installed and for splice process, this inline optic closure is capable for 4 pieces of fiber optic fusion splice, and support to install 4 pieces of SC simplex optic adaptor for drop cable connection, this inline closure is typical design, easy installation to branch the optic fiber into access point.

Installation Instruction

 

Preparation of Pre-operation

  1. Check the terminal box type, cable item, and all components before installation
  2. Keep all components dry and clean for installation.
  3. Keep working environment clean (dry and no dust) and flat for installation.
  4. Standard instruments and tools should be used during installing.

Operation of Optical Cable

  1. Stripping optical cable jacket length 1.2 meters and uncut cable 0.5 meters or 1.5 meters.
  2. Trimming the CSM (reinforced core) to length 5cm

Installation Process

  1. Unscrew the screws with screwdriver to open the closure and take off the grommet.
  2. Release the screws on the cable clamp. Inlet the cable and tighten the screw.
  3. Release the screws on the CSM fastener, fix the CSM.
  4. Install the splice tray coiling set and coil the remained fiber on the base. Then put two protection sleeves.

  5. Trip the fiber and inlet to the protection sleeve for splicing. Also put two adapters and pigtails on

    the base.

  6. Coil the pigtail on the base and inlet to the protection sleeve to splice with the fiber. Take off the pigtail blank inset and install the drop cable lead-out product on the other side of the adapter.

  7. Use the same way to inlet the cable on the other side as well. Fix the CSM, coil the remained fiber on the base, strip the fiber and inlet to the protection sleeve.

  8. Coil the pigtail on the base and inlet to the protection sleeve to splice with the fiber. Take off the pigtail blank inset and install the drop cable lead-out product on the other side of the adapter.

  9.  

    Fix the fiber with the nylon tie on the base, close the cover and screw tight. Installation complete.
